Old Age

Old Age is a bull
I once saw raising
dust
in the far distance –
too far off to worry
me.
When we came closer
it seemed he was
marking time,
waiting for me
to narrow the gap.
But now – now we see
each
other clearly –
man and beast,
he turns
and charges at me.
